This project has helped Hawaiian Community Assets (HCA) in installing a photo-voltaic system on Hawai'i’s first-and-only Financial Opportunity Center in Hilo!  CarbonBuddy was able to collect >10% of the total project costs to support HCA to partially fund the installation of the system  and allow the local nonprofit organization, Hawaiian Community Assets, to dedicate over $35,000 in energy cost savings from the project to the delivery of free financial education and counseling to low- and moderate-income Hawai'i children, jobseekers, and business owners over the next 5 years alone as they work toward the development of sustainable, self-sufficient local economies.  To find out more about Hawaiian Community Assets and their work, click here.
